Refined is a studio devoted exclusively to adult dance education. Located in Southern Wake County, we offer a thoughtful and elevated approach to training where technical precision and artistic expression come together. Our classes are designed specifically for adult dancers at every stage—from those stepping into the studio for the very first time to experienced dancers continuing their practice. At Refined, we cultivate a welcoming and supportive environment where adults can build technique, explore artistry, and rediscover the joy of movement.

We are excited to announce classes our newest location, the John M. Brown Community Center located in Apex! This location will host two NEW classes, Dance Fitness and Jazz Foundations.Â
Dance Fitness
Mondays at 6:30PM (45 mins)
Get ready to move, sweat, and have fun! Dance Fitness blends dance inspired exercise with strength, flexibility, and coordination training, all set to energizing music. Rather than following one specific dance or fitness method, this class draws from a variety of movement styles to create a dynamic, full body workout. Expect purposeful movement, rhythmic combinations, strength building exercises, flexibility work, and coordination challenges designed to keep both your body and mind engaged. No two classes are exactly alike. Come ready to move to the music, challenge yourself, and build strength, flexibility, and confidence in a fun and energetic environment.
Jazz Foundations
Mondays at 7:30PM (1 hour)
A fun and approachable class designed to build jazz dance skills from the ground up. Dancers will explore beginner level technique, rhythm, and jazz vocabulary while developing coordination, musicality, and confidence through dynamic movement combinations. Great for new dancers or dancers coming back after a break!

I’ve been taking lessons with Brittany at Refined for two years now and she is such an inspiring and motivating instructor.
